The encouragement seminars have started!
27.3.2025 | A seminar designed to encourage people to stand up for their opinions and motivate others to do the same
Last year, when the volunteer team felt the need to attend more seminars each year, five volunteers got together and, with the help of our education officer, submitted a funding application to the European Solidarity Corps. The idea:
‘We want to deal with political issues and have a space where everyone can ask questions shamelessly without being judged. We also want to know what can be done about the shift to the right in society and politics, which we are not happy with.’
So they got together to conceptualise the Courage Maker seminars.
There will be three of them this year, which will build on each other.
The first part, entitled ‘Who am I and what is political about me?’, was successfully held at the Walberberg Youth Academy at the end of February.
All participants are looking forward to the second and third parts, in which we will not only look at why discrimination is also a structural problem and what these structures look like, but also how to get young people interested in political issues and political engagement as part of a youth programme.
